I was watching something last night. It was about Glen Campbell.
He was the young guy, in the original True Grit.
Elvis had been picked to play that part. But.............................
He wanted top billing...............................
over JOHN WAYNE!!!!!!
Now that was an ego, that needed deflating.
Sorry, Sheka, but when I heard that, Elvis plummeted from super star to just another guy.
Even Gods, do stupid crap. LOL
No one is bigger than John Wayne, when it comes to Westerns!

I agree that nobody is bigger than John Wayne in westerns............but Elvis is still tops with me no matter what anybody says....even you

I cant imangine Elvis in westerns.

My step dad was a huge elvis fan and he told me (hes been dead 10 years now mind) that elvis hated doing movies it was colonel parker (i think that his name) forced him to do them.

Elvis wanted to be a real actor not make those Girl,Girl,Girl type movies.He really could act.
