Moving House

Post by Cee~Bookworm on Tue 28 Feb - 18:40

Would you move house again?

we moved lots when I was a child and older with my own kids we moved about 5 times when they were young. Our last house we were in we had lived there for 20 years and now we are in a bungalow.
It was really stressful moving and so much to be done. I have no idea how we managed when the kids were young.

Would you move again? as my hubby said "we're here for the rest of our lives"

I think Tracy, when we were younger we took things in our stride. I have to say we are in our forever home here now. I won't move again it's far too stressful. We moved here to this town in1991 and had a flat over the shop Joe was manager in. When the shop closed in 1997 the council were good enough to house us immediately to the house we are in just now. We are 20 years in this house past on 15th January and I'm not moving again. When I first read your posts last year about you moving house, I thought to myself. Rather Tracy than me. I wish you all the best however, in your new home Tracy, I hope you love it as much as we love where we are.

We lived in our first house for 43 years only moved because we needed a bungalow with no stairs. We stayed in our first bungalow for 6 years ,then moved to the one we are in now which is a much nicer one and was brand new.Been here 3 years now and i think we will stay.Yes moving is very stressful especialy when you are moving from a big 3 bed house to a 2 bed bungalow. We left some much stuff behind ,but the man we sold the house to brought a lot of our furniture which was very handy.

We moved to our bungalow three years ago and have no plans to move again.
We used to live beside a busy dual carriageway on the edge of large town, now we're loving the village life in Suffolk.

Bat I am pleased to see you have gotten away from that busy dual carriageway.Sometimes moving although it can be stressful turns out to be much better place than you were in,I know ours is,

I hope not.

We moved house a week before Christmas. It's been a total nightmare but we are slowly getting there.
