Never did like Motorways Sheka, we don't drive but when we were younger we had family with cars and most Sundays we went for a run with one or another family member. We always took country roads as the journey is much more enjoyable, for the driver too.

As Johnnys' job involved lots of driving.....Chrissy he used to drive to Wales at least once a month and stay over night in hotel maybe 3 nights.......anyway because he did this come weekends he didn't feel much like driving and as I have always had travel sickness I never minded,so we used to go for very long walks....so no motorways.

Did you ever go camping ?

In my teens and twenties I was a biker and many a night I would just ride for mile after mile, just enjoying the road and feeling the vibe. Not going anywhere particular, I'd just head out for about a hundred miles and then head back in again.

In later life I drove vans for a living which, along with much busier roads, sort of dulled my love of driving.
I'm quite pragmatic in my attitude towards motorways - if I've got a distance to go then it makes sense to use them.

Did you ever go camping ?

Not for me I'm afraid, a Caravan yes, but no tent for me. It must be all those Horror movies, a Caravan gives a bit of security ......... a tent NO...
.......a quick slash with a knife, the tent is open and your throat cut. NO TENT FOR ME.

When our three kids were young we went camping loads. In those days we didn't have loads of money so it was a cheap holiday and we could go as many times a year as we wanted.Sometime we just went Friday evening came back Sunday evening, the kids luved it and to be honest so did we.

We live in the countryside so it's all country lanes. Feels great to get onto a motorway. I also suffer from travel sickness and the motorway is always better feeling

I prefer motorways even when it's slow going, like this morning. Between Junction 10 & 11 on M1, 3/4 hour. I,m the type who goes from A to B the in the shortest time, now that makes a mockery of this mornings statement
