was told this many years ago when we first got sky in and see that they also now advise it online..you coat your sky dish with the wd40 and it helps keeps things off it to stop the signal going away..

Nice idea, Cee.

WD40 is good, but don't use it on freeing up locks as the stuff contains water. Instead use silicone grease.
